After the latest VLC update, the VLSUB plugin for automatic download of subtitles has stopped working because it is unable to decompress the zip format in which they are found.
The reason is that VLC has changed something in the zip module so the old versions of VLSUB have stopped working.
https://github.com/exebetche/vlsub/issues/214
We must bear in mind that the current version of VLC for Gentoo 3.0.3-r1 installs the version VLSUB 0.10.2 that doesn't work.
You have to do two things:
1st Recompile VLC with the USE file (Enable support for libarchive stream extractor)
2nd Download the version VLSUB 0.11.0 from https://github.com/exebetche/vlsub. The easiest thing is to download the zip, unzip it and follow the instructions on the page.
I hope this will help. _________________ Si algo falla LEE el jodido manual, Si sigue fallando LEE BIEN el jodido manual. |
