Prusa Slic3r edition

I'm just trying to get into 3d printing.

From the latest reviews the Prusa edition (forked) Slic3r is really good. (Maker's Muse on youtube anyway)

I was just wondering if it might be considered as a candidate for inclusion in the official ports.

I installed both the normal ports version and the Prusa edition but I do prefer to install from the ports, whenever possible.

Most exotic stuff is usually in an overlay, because someone else already made an ebuild for an overlay, or postet it on bugs.gentoo.org

With some effort, I have prepared ebuild for slic3r pe. I hope, someone will find this useful ;-)

Is it possible to design the ebuild in a way that original slic3r could be installed in parallel with the pe one?
At the moment it seems that the two ebuilds would collide.
