I'm trying to cast to my chromecast via VLC

After building vlc with chromecast useflag, vlc does see the chromecast device.

But when I try to cast a video I get this string of errors:

Quote:
[00007f07fc2d0e80] gnutls tls client: Accepting self-signed/untrusted CA certificate.
[00007f07fc051ca0] main access out error: socket bind error: Address already in use

[00007f07fc051ca0] http access out error: cannot start HTTP server
[00007f07fc052450] stream_out_standard stream out error: no suitable sout access module for `http/avformat{mux=matroska,options={live=1}}://(null)'
[00007f07fc3a5720] main stream output error: stream chain failed for `chromecast{ip=192.168.0.41,port=8009}'
[00007f0830005b70] main input error: cannot start stream output instance, aborting
[00007f07fc2d0e80] main tls client error: connection error: Interrupted system call
[00007f07fc0010d0] stream_out_chromecast stream out error: cannot load the Chromecast controller (Failed to create client session)
[00007f07fc3a5720] main stream output error: stream chain failed for `chromecast{ip=192.168.0.41,port=8009}'
[00007f0830005b70] main input error: cannot start stream output instance, aborting

My vlc is version 3.0.3-r1. I'm thinking that maybe I need the httpd useflag enabled but
this is not possible. On my system, there is no httpd useflag option which I run emerge.

Anyone know how to get vlc working with chromecast?

sorry to reply to myself, but some extra facts

on my system, vlc is missing the lua useflag as well (just not there at all,
not disabled)

and -- of course -- it works in ubuntu (which I dual boot to)

thank you Asturm; although no microdns useflag shows up in eix's
list of available use flags if I request it anyway, lo and behold
the microdns package gets pulled in and then chromecasting
works ...

I did not see the purpose of a separate microdns flag and merged it into chromecast flag in 3.0.3.
