Hello
I compiled gentoo on old Asus Eeepc 701 in order to run Kodi. Everything went smoothly until turning on Kodi. init.d/kodi tried 3 times, logo appeared and died. As it turned out segfault on i915g_dri.so appeared on dmesg.
Of course I had properly set VIDEOCARDS in make.conf to "intel i915". What is interesting simply run xinit and glxgears succeeded.

It was very interesting for me that i915g_dri.so and kms_swrast_dri.so and swrastg_dri.so has same control sum.
I simply deleted i915g_dri.so and kodi started but without DRI (it was running slowly probably without direct rendering)
then I copied i915_dri.so to i915g_dri.so and then kodi successfully run with DRI.
So what is difference between i915_dri.so and i915g_dri.so? and Why i915g_dri.so is probably wrong? and why it is the same as these swrast libraries?
I checked also on other gentoo system that mesa without this USE flag video_cards_i915 also produces fake libraries. Turning this flag on produces different i915_dri.so but i915g_dri.so is not touched - still fake.
Isnt it fault?

Anyway Gentoo with kodi on EEEPC 701 works few times faster than Ubuntu.
