For the past few months have enabled +opencl on my ~amd64 system (Lenovo x220 with Intel i915 integrated graphics) as a (future) experiment to see what OpenCL APIs were accessible, and when various machine learning libraries would work (with no expectations of accelerated performance) with generic OpenCL, etc.
With the recent update to dev-libs/libclc as per commit f60fa1ad, the options are now specifically for nvidia and AMD cards.
Code: | The ebuild selected to satisfy "dev-libs/libclc" has unmet requirements.
dev-libs/libclc-0.2.0_pre20180610::gentoo USE="" ABI_X86="(64)" VIDEO_CARDS="-nvidia -r600 -radeonsi"
The following REQUIRED_USE flag constraints are unsatisfied:
any-of ( video_cards_nvidia video_cards_r600 video_cards_radeonsi ) |
Code: | media-libs/mesa-18.1.1-r1 (opencl ? dev-libs/libclc |
Can anyone speak to whether Intel integrated graphics in general and the i915 in particular could potentially work with current versions of OpenCL if additional libraries for Mesa were used? I have been reading up on Intel's OpenCL SDK, and it isn't yet clear to me what is included in the scope of the Linux SRB5 driver package.
Thanks for any information.[/url] |
