Specifically rap.

So old JB was enjoying the bus, and there was this young lady sitting behind me playing some autotuned rap monstrosity on speakers. The banal lyrics went something like :

"It's shady, I'm not your lady"

Then she started singing along - freestyling * by changing the lyrics to :

"Like It's so shady, I'm not your lady ooo ..."

(No I can't hold a tune - but compared to that, I'm Enrico Caruso).

Thousands of years of art - music that can move to tears (actually the above probably could have moved me to tears given enough time) and humanity produces tripe like that ?

* I had this overpowering urge to join in, I have problems with advancing alopecia, so I do carry a baseball cap - we've had some sun in the UK and it helps keep my head from getting cooked. So I could have whipped it out from my bag, stuck it on backwards and joined in with the freestyling. Making the appropriate hand gestures too. Because I'm down with the kids. Word.

We REALLY need portable highly localized EMP devices! It would need to be directional too, and discreet.
