I am well aware that Gentoo is meant to be used with Portage and nothing but Portage, but the Nix package manager looks lovely. I followed this tutorial and everything works as expected, including any installations from the "nixpkgs" repository. Ha, less compiling in the future!

However, most nix-env commands give me a warning like this:

$ nix-env -u
warning: name collision in input Nix expressions, skipping '/home/tux/.nix-defexpr/channels_root/nixpkgs

Is that a problem with the Gentoo port or with Nix itself?
