Vivaldi has stopped playing videos during one of my upgrades, I'm trying to display the following video:
https://www.quirksmode.org/html5/tests/video.html

webm and ogg/theora videos work just fine, h.264 one does not play, when I click the play button I get the following in journalctl:
Code:
May 21 11:40:49 g50-80 slim[617]: [82:130:0521/114049.316725:ERROR:render_media_log.cc(34)] MediaEvent: MEDIA_ERROR_LOG_ENTRY {"error":"FFmpegDemuxer: no supported streams"}

Can you open it with ffmpeg (try converting to another format for example?)
Otherwise rebuild ffmpeg with support and after your application as well.

Have you updated the version if so you might have to reconfigure HTML5 videos

ffmpeg useflag x264 is for encoding. Not required for decoding.

Since Vivaldi is closed source there is not much one can do, I'd guess. Have you had a close look at all configuration settings of Vivaldi?

If you still have problems you can follow this guide.

https://gist.github.com/ruario/bec42d156d30affef655

I download libffmpeg from https://repo.herecura.eu and just copy it over to /opt/vivaldi/lib/

Some facebook videos still doesn't play but everything else works flawless.

On Gentoo's Bugzilla: www-client/vivaldi with media-video/ffmpeg[chromium] does not support H264
