Doing gentoo install on new laptop and alsa does not do Loopback Mixing because the option is simply unavalable thru Alsamixer,- Beep does not sound, it only runs quietly. Alsa works because speaker-test outputs sound.

You need a driver called aloop and a tweaked .asoundrc for loopback.

In 'menuconfig' for example:

Code:
→ Device Drivers → Sound card support → Advanced Linux Sound Architecture → Generic sound devices → Generic loopback driver (PCM)

I don't get enable loopback mixing on main menu from alsamixer, enabling driver only added soundcard calld Loopback which doesn't have any controls.

It should have one playback control called PCM. You might need to index the sound cards so your standard sound starts first. I added this to my kernel command line:

Code:
snd_hda_intel.index=0 snd_aloop.index=1

Or maybe you're missing the .asoundrc
