[Solved] Laptop trouble with USB

Purchased a new laptop and cannot get USB to work, compiled and recompile kernel several times with no success
Laptop: Asus S510UA-DS71

I toggled the settings but didn't help. Anything USB such as storage sticks dont even show up in dmesg after plugging them in.

The controller is XHCI and USB_XHCI_HCD isn't enabled in the kernel.

I enabled it but somehow it wasn't saved to the config. USB devices /now work.
