I'm on Sabayon and trying to install Unreal Engine 4, but get this error:

Code:

    Building CrashReportClient...
Creating makefile for CrashReportClient (no existing makefile)
Performing full C++ include scan (no include cache file)
    Building UnrealHeaderTool...
Performing 1 actions (8 in parallel)
    [1/1] Link (lld) UnrealHeaderTool
clang-5.0: error: invalid linker name in argument '-fuse-ld=lld'
ERROR: UBT ERROR: Failed to produce item: /Downloads/UnrealEngine-release/Engine/Binaries/Linux/UnrealHeaderTool
Total build time: 0.25 seconds (Local executor: 0.00 seconds)
Error: UnrealHeaderTool failed for target 'CrashReportClient' (platform: Linux, module info: /Downloads/UnrealEngine-release/Engine/Intermediate/Build/Linux/B4D820EA/CrashReportClient/Shipping/CrashReportClient.uhtmanifest, exit code: OtherCompilationError (5)).
    make: *** [Makefile:257: CrashReportClient-Linux-Shipping] Error 5

I need to install "lld" but I can't find it.

Thanks in advance

Hello Random9,

I don't know in what package ldd is located.
My guess would be sys-devel/binutils or sys-libs/glibc.
If that doesn't work, maybe look into the LLVM linker?

ldd != lld; it looks like you have typo in your LDFLAGS (though it could be in CFLAGS.)
It's more usual to use gold, afair, or leave it unset.

Show your emerge --info in a code tag, please. Reviewing it might show you what to edit without further help.

(ldd, like ld, is part of binutils.)

Moved from Gamers & Players to Unsupported Software. Not about Gentoo so it fits better here.
