just installed gentoo, but keeps rebooting

i installed gentoo and when i reboot, it show the grub menu, and when i choose an option (i only have 1) it just reboots

so i have to recompile my kernel, but probably i have to begin all over again with the installation from the beginning? or is there a shortcut?

You shouldn't have to reinstall, just the kernel will be fine. This FAQ should get you started.
