So there's a backup package I really want to use that requires gtk+, which pulls in X.

Problem is, my server that I want to use this on is a headless box - no X. Any suggestions?
Either software alternative or some kind of setting to bypass this requirement?

Is this package in the main portage tree? I suspect you should build your own without X, but since it's not in my portage I can't tell if it supports compiling without X... at least it seems like there is a CLI interface to this program which technically should not require GTK+ and thus the ebuild should not require it ...

I figured since it appears to be OSS, someone has an ebuild for the source too somewhere...

Gah, I meant to put this in unsupported software, it's from an overlay.
