hi there,
i have a harddisc with linux install (5 partitions). is it possible to put them afterwards into a KVM container ???

Simple answer, yes.
More complex answer, you will need to rebuild your kernel to support the hardware offered to the guest by KVM or if your KVM host supports virtio and you want to use that, the guest kernel needs to use the virtio drivers.
If you go the virtio route, Your HDD will become /dev/vda, so you need to fix /etc/fstab and the kernel command line.
You can do it in two steps. Migrate to the KVM guest hardware first them move to virtio once that works. _________________ Regards,
