Hi,
I have ffmpegthumbnailer installed, here:

PCManFM has the USE flags:

My relevant PCManFM settings are shown in these two screenshots: https://imgur.com/wFC8Mvx.png and https://imgur.com/vbmzQoK.png. The file size limit for thumbnailing is the highest PCManFM will allow and these are the same settings my Arch Linux system uses and thumbnails are shown fine in it. All other thumbnails are shown properly, like for image files and PDF files. I have no problem opening these video files, so this seems very odd to me. All video formats (avi, mkv, mp4) seem to be affected by this problem.

| It is possible to tell pcmanfm to use an external thumbnailer, but I don't know if the 32MB limit still applies then. |

I decided to make sure whether this error was just PCManFM so I tried Thunar and just like PCManFM video thumbnails not shown, but all other thumbnails are shown fine.

I had a similar problem so try this: after installing ffmpegthumbnailer go to /usr/share/thumbnailers and create file | Code: | | ffmpegthumbnailer.thumbnailer |
than just paste:
