so i just got one of these, i installed the rtl-sdr package and also the gqrx package along with all its dependencies. however when i go open gqrx to listen to frequencies i get no sound output. does someone know what specifically i have to do to make it so i can get an output? i added my useraccount to the usb group like one of the things said. |

When I last used gqrx it's audio output was a mess. It used the alsa sink from gnuradio but that didn't work right. The only way I could get sound was to use the pulseaudio backend.
Gqrx also got various dials and nobs including an audio squelch in one of the config tabs. Make sure it's turns up or you get no sound. |
