Hey,

=dev-lang/spidermonkey-24.2.0-r4::gentoo is not compiling. Here is the output of emerge --info

Has someone an idea how to solve this?

Thanks,

Yes, --depclean -a to remove that package.

Thank, you for the answer... Unfortunately depclean gives me

Code:
# emerge --depclean -a

 * Always study the list of packages to be cleaned for any obvious
 * mistakes. Packages that are part of the world set will always
 * be kept.  They can be manually added to this set with
 * `emerge --noreplace <atom>`.  Packages that are listed in
 * package.provided (see portage(5)) will be removed by
 * depclean, even if they are part of the world set.
 *
 * As a safety measure, depclean will not remove any packages
 * unless *all* required dependencies have been resolved.  As a
 * consequence of this, it often becomes necessary to run
 * `emerge --update --newuse --deep @world` prior to depclean.

Calculating dependencies... done!
 * Dependencies could not be completely resolved due to
 * the following required packages not being installed:
 *
 *   ~dev-qt/qtcore-5.9.3 pulled in by:

 *     dev-qt/qtmultimedia-5.9.3
 *
 * Have you forgotten to do a complete update prior to depclean? The
 * most comprehensive command for this purpose is as follows:
 *
 *   emerge --update --newuse --deep --with-bdeps=y @world
 *
 * Note that the --with-bdeps=y option is not required in many
 * situations. Refer to the emerge manual page (run `man emerge`)
 * for more information about --with-bdeps.
 *
 * Also, note that it may be necessary to manually uninstall
 * packages that no longer exist in the portage tree, since it may
 * not be possible to satisfy their dependencies.

Right...

Code:
 *   dev-lang/spidermonkey:24 pulled in by:
 *     gnome-extra/cjs-3.0.1

Unfortunately current stable cinnamon is ancient. It is the only remaining revdep of spidermonkey:24. If you don't use cinnamon, remove it together with cjs, or upgrade to stable candidate 3.6.6-r2 and inquire at https://bugs.gentoo.org/639618 what is holding them back.

Is there any other solution? cinnamon-3.6.6-r2 always runs in "software rendering mode", with very high cpu usage. I'd like to downgrade to cinnmon-3.0.7-r2 again, but still spidermonkey fails to compile.

I guess you'll need to fix your graphics setup, but that should be done in a separate thread. 3.0.7 has no future.
