Three post with partial informations, no emerge --info, build.log truncated by forum because is too long (you should use wgetpaste).
Please, clean up and add missing informations

No build.log with a pastebin service (because the forum tuncate too long messages) no answer. That's your choice.
It's not a piece of spite, but is impossible to help you without any error message

well.... you right and not, just a setting to allow more lines in this forum, but not mine,
the reason why epgsearch dosnt complie is found... missing maintainer so it means that epgsearch isnt working on new vdr versions, thats all, this means i switch back to older vdr versions under <2.2.*

The forum line limit (technically a character limit) has been in effect for many years. I am not aware of any plans to change it, as the existing limit is quite generous and works for everything except large inlined files. Standing practice is to post the log out of line on an external service (wgetpaste makes this very easy), then let informed helpers quote inline the relevant fragment(s) from the log.

If the program is truly broken, it should have an open bug reporting that. If no such bug exists, one should be filed. However, until you provide an error message, we cannot determine whether the program is broken.
