Hello World,

after emerge -1 x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf-2.36.11 install fails with

So the question is, which package I have to install to get the missing files - if they are needed in my system...

I tried dev-util/pkgconfig, but same issue.

For now I'm searching for packages with all your files using e-file...

Ok, is there a workaround? Because I'm completely blocked. Gnome doesn't emerge because of deps. So I cannot use my notebook.

I tried to modify the .ebuild, made a patch, but got an error.

You have set ABI_X86="32 64" system-wide. This causes you to build 32-bit for everything, which is likely excessive. In particular, this package fails while building its 32-bit side. Does it fail if built as a pure 64-bit-only package?

because I've seen ABI_X86="32 64", i tried to compile this pkg with ABI_X86="64" before my first emergency call, but it doesn't change the issue. But I didn't emerge them deps (or @world) with ABI_X86="64".

I don't know why this is set. So I for myself don't need it. I don't know what to do, when setting ABI_X86="64" system wide. Is it enough to emerge --update --changed-use --deep @world?

I'm sorry, your suggestion (ebuild /usr/portage/x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf/gdk-pixbuf-2.36.11.ebuild merge) didn't help - merging and then at installing same error.

What about the touch command?

You need to build until it fails.
Do the touch command as root. If that fails, stop and report the error.

If touch works, run the ebuild merge phase.

clarification: Im using a small root pool rpool and a large tatapool tpool
/usr/portage -> /tpool/rpool/usr/portage//
/usr/src -> src -> /tpool/rpool/usr/src/
/var/tmp -> /tpool/rpool/var/tmp//

Should this or the two // cause the issues?

ebuild /usr/portage/x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf/gdk-pixbuf-2.36.11.ebuild manifest
emerge -1 gdk-pixbuf

solved.

If you experience problems concerning unrecognized image file formats you should downgrade glib and gdbus-codegen to a 2.52.* version.
I have made this experience recently, due to empty loaders.cache file and errornous emerges.
