Hello,

I want to switch to KDE from Gnome

I installed Gnome through Sakaki EFI Install Guide and i followed everything from KDE Install Guide and for services i have DBus, for Device Manager and Session Tracker i have systemd which were installed in Gnome

And i reinstalled Xorg Server and Drivers and i followed everything as per KDE guide except This

But when i startx without root access i get
Code:
~ $ startx
xauth:  file /home/daanta/.serverauth.9687 does not exist

_XSERVTransSocketUNIXCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener() failed
_XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: server already running
(EE)
Fatal server error:
(EE) Cannot establish any listening sockets - Make sure an X server isn't already running(EE)
(EE)
Please consult the The X.Org Foundation support
    at http://wiki.x.org
 for help.
(EE) Please also check the log file at "/var/log/Xorg.0.log" for additional information.
(EE)
(EE) Server terminated with error (1). Closing log file.
X connection to :0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).
Couldn't get a file descriptor referring to the console

and i get this with root access
Code:
# startx
xauth:  file /root/.serverauth.10707 does not exist

_XSERVTransSocketUNIXCreateListener: ...SocketCreateListener() failed
_XSERVTransMakeAllCOTSServerListeners: server already running
(EE)
Fatal server error:

xinit: XIO:  fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0"
connection to X server lost      after 7 requests (7 known processed) with 0 events remaining.

and if i startkde i get
Code:
$ startkde
startkde: Starting up...

after this the kde starts but the environment doesn't work quite well like previous process's gets hanged up

and if i restart system i get Gnome again rather than kde

startkde is not enough, I see you are aware of the KDE guide already, it also has a section on how to start it without a display manager (although personally I've never tried that on a systemd setup).
