I have downloaded mac os x's image(Yosemite release, dmg format),but i have no idea of how to use it to enter the process of installing mac os x. I just want to use the traditional unix tool to operate it (just like dd, fdisk etc). Could anybody please tell me how can i made it ?(Actually, i don't understand the boot mechanism of mac os x, i'm looking for useful information)
Comment: i don't have a mac machine.

The confluence of the mature male form, visual perception, and personal experience; also, soon, gladiator movies.

Well, the movies looks interesting, but i think they can't reflect the spirit of Kung fu. And it indeed interesting, although i don't fully understand them.

I've used the parts list from other sites to build a computer that can run OS X. Actually it's been more stable than any Linux I've thrown on there. If you pick the right hardware it's easy.

I have searched some sites to do tha
t. But i do not have too much money to build that kind of computer and they don't recommend to use os x on a laptop which is my only machine. So it's depressed me.

Yea I've not had much success when people bring over an already built computer and try to run OS X on it, due to the specific hardware choices one should make. Luckily now it's kinda down to, "relatively recent intel chip, gigabyte motherboard, nvidia graphics card" and it should all work with some varying degree of success.

hmm, it's interesting. I try to find some information using my specific hardware model thinkpad t420. And it's amazing someone are doing the same hack. just like follows:
my keyboard: thinkpad t420 mac os x
google results: Lenovo Thinkpad T420 with UEFI only-- installationguides …
It's exciting.
And maybe it will be helpful for others when they search for some information which is relevant to their hardware model and mac os x.
And thank you very much for your advice.(the t420 is of course the intel chip)

And the clover boot loader from the sourceforge and the clover boot loader wiki( https://clover-wiki.zetam.org) are good refercences for learning the
boot machanism of mac os x and installation of it.

You can use iBoot. iBoot essentially tricks Mac OS X into thinking that it’s being installed on a regular Mac computer. More information here https://www.cleverfiles.com/howto/install-mac-on-pc.html

Thank God. He's been waiting two years, with his cursor blinking. Now he can proceed.

Why does UK television suck so much? I mean, even the Canadians and Mexicans can get it right.
