Just cleaned me drive, did the decent thing and had a go at the pavement too - then I realised that if somebody slips on that I could get sued, so I've empted all of the salt that I've got.

No salty chips for old JB tonight. :(

And the busses are running, next decision, do I go suit or jeans ??? Hmmmm ...

You go in jeans and change.
I'll stay at home thinking about you going to work

No more snow, just freezing conditions and side roads like glass.

I shall be a bit miffed if it's not a full office.

I find it best to go in when others don't, then find an excuse to be gone the next day. Then that makes two non-weekend / holiday days in a row where you don't have to deal with them. For example, you could use "too icy" as an excuse.

I do have an excuse, cold number four (I give it a 3.5 on the JB scale, sniffles a chesty cough that might progress to something a bit more nasty) - but I'm still dragging my carcass in.

Got a foot yesterday. Got another foot today. No biggie. It's what we're used to here. Plows are going non-stop.

An inch of ice on the driveway under the snow. Threw half a 50-lb bag of rock salt on it.

Might go sledding later.

I don't believe that had the desired effect you thought it had.

It's piddling down - the worse thing is the cold, the boiler's been on for the past three days (low temp during the day), oh and the fact that everything seems to collapse when you get a gnat's fart of the white stuff *.

* Old JB - he uses public transport

That's right. That's why we had dinosaurs. Big ones. And insects the size of cars.

Well this is annoying...apparently a large number of water pipes had burst due to the cold and the thaw has resulted in leaks (at least in Birmingham). I guess I'll see if I'll wake up with no water as I am in one of the affected areas

My flow rate dropped Friday night, thought that me pipes had started to freeze (had to drain system down). Am now seeing reports of low water pressure via a community website.

On the plus side jb's shower should have defrosted by now.
