|
|
If i watch video in youtube or some other video sites, chromium has sound.
It can also play ogg file on wikipedia such as:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Dennis_Ritchie.ogg
However, if i need a site which translates words and it can pronounce words,
such as
http://fanyi.baidu.com/
I can not hear the pronunciation of words from the site.
If i want listen a music from
http://music.163.com/
,there is no sound.
local software such as stardict can pronounce well.
Here is USE flag of chromium

Hi icyhearts,
Dennis_Ritchie.ogg works. http://fanyi.baidu.com/ works also with chromium.
On the music channel http://music.163.com/ this explanation appears: 由于 版权 保护, 您 所在 的 地区 暂时 无法 使用.
translate.google says : "Your area is temporarily unavailable due to copyright protection."

Code: | tux ~ # emerge chromium -pv
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:
Calculating dependencies... done!

Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 0 KiB
| It is a kde installation. So Pulseaudio is switched off globally. But on another installation I use gnome with pulseaudion, that also works very well.
I hope it helps you.
