Hi All:
Am doing some work and used to use qtiplot but its getting old and uses the old qt4 package so want to move away from it.
I unmasked kst and tried to build it and it got to 94% and dies with this:
Code: | [ 94%] Built target kst2app
make[1]: Leaving directory '/var/tmp/portage/sci-visualization/kst-2.0.8/work/kst-2.0.8_build'
make: *** [Makefile:152: all] Error 2
* ERROR: sci-visualization/kst-2.0.8::gentoo failed (compile phase):
* emake failed
*
* If you need support, post the output of `emerge --info '=sci-visualization/kst-2.0.8::gentoo'`,
* the complete build log and the output of `emerge -pqv '=sci-visualization/kst-2.0.8::gentoo'`.
* The complete build log is located at '/var/tmp/portage/sci-visualization/kst-2.0.8/temp/build.log'.
* The ebuild environment file is located at '/var/tmp/portage/sci-visualization/kst-2.0.8/temp/environment'.
* Working directory: '/var/tmp/portage/sci-visualization/kst-2.0.8/work/kst-2.0.8_build'
* S: '/var/tmp/portage/sci-visualization/kst-2.0.8/work/Kst-2.0.8'

Any clues on how to work around that one?
Cheers,
John

jserink,
That just says 'it broke'. Please follow the instructions you quoted and put the build log onto a pastebin site.
wgetpaste is your friend. _________________ Regards,

Ok, fixed.....
The culprit was gsl.
I had unmasked gsl 2.xxx that this caused a whole host of issues with blas and lapack.
I removed the unmaksing to gsl, portage installed gsl-1.16 and kst built fine after that.
Cheers,
John |
