3.17.9-r1 than the version 3.16.3 which is reported in the Driver: field of the configure window of the printer here under KDE. The printer works fine but I do wonder why the old string is displayed after upgrading the packages net-print/hplip and net-print/hplip-plugin /gah - just the nickname in cups conf
