Don't know if this is the right forum for this, but I have a question.
I've got a RAID 6 with 7 hard drives 4TB each, in the past I've updated this RAID several times, just by replacing the drives by bigger ones or adding new drives (I've started with 5 1,5TB HD), then growing the XFS file system, but now I want to replace the 7 4TB hardrives with 6 10TB ones, but I don't know if it is possible to remove a drive and still grow the RAID.
Have anyone done this?

Thanks

Sounds like you should be able to, at least if you're using md RAID, just not easy / quick.

It looks like you could begin your normal upgrade process, but instead of growing the fs, shrink the array first, then resize the fs.

If you're not using md RAID, then I would guess if you can similarly resize the array, you ought to be able to achieve it.

Shrink RAID by removing a disk?
