I am trying to use gnome-screenshot on LXDE+Openbox and get
Code:
$ gnome-screenshot

(gnome-screenshot:5937): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: Settings schema 'org.gnome.gnome-screenshot' is not installed

Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

Anybody knows how to fix this?

Many thanks.

Try with
Code:
$ gnome-screenshot --interactive

fedeliallalinea,

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, --interactive gives the same outcome.

Some hints from google (gnome world is dark for me):
  • file /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/org.gnome.gnome-screenshot.gschema.xml exists?
  • command gsettings list-schemas | grep gnome-screenshot return somethings?
  • package gnome-base/gsettings-desktop-schemas is installed?

I solved it. Sort of. I discovered that, every time I invoked gnome-screenshot from the command line, the screenshot was quietly saved to a file without ever telling me. So, since the GUI wasn't working, I uninstalled gnome-screenshot and install scrot instead. I had to enable the png and jpg flags for scrot to work.

Thank you regardless.
