Hi all,

I'm using the dmcrypt service to automatically unlock my volumes; however, while it is unlocked, the volume group itself is not enabled, so my LVM volumes aren't showing.

I have configured /etc/conf.d/dmcrypt to unlock the volumes I'm interested in, but I still have to manually do vgchange -ay to activate / enable the volumes. I'm not using /etc/crypttab nor /etc/dmtab or /etc/dmraid.

Please advise what I need to do to make my volumes ready to go.

I had another process which was automatically closing the volume groups. Once I removed that process, dmcrypt worked as expected.
