I have a laptop with a high DPI screen, and I sometimes connect it to a regular DPI monitor.
Windows detects my laptop screen and resizes everything (1.25x), then it also detects my external monitor and uses a different DPI value for it. If I move a window from my laptop screen to my monitor, the window scales back automatically. Pretty neat.
I use GNOME 3 with Wayland. Well, it's a mess. It doesn't see my laptop screen as high DPI so everything looks tiny. If I configure GNOME manually to have bigger elements using gnome-tweak-tool, only some GNOME applications actually get bigger. Firefox for example shows a big UI, but the webpages are still tiny. And obviously elements on the other monitor have the right size... as long as I don't touch things in gnome-tweak-tool as I said I did, because then everything becomes huge!
Well my point is. Is this setup just not supported yet, or am I missing something like a package or a USE flag? Thanks. |
