Hello,

after the update to vdr-2.2.0-r1 my vdr exits immediately after starting it. No change was done on configuration only the update.

As you may see the vdr has no DVB device. It connects to a Sat>IP server via the satip plugin. This runs with vdr-2.2.0 without any problems.

I have no clue why vdr stops. Can somebody help, please?

Regards, gekkoo

You should post your emerge --info so we will know more about your system.

It might be that at the point of emerging vdr-2.2.0 emerge uses gcc-4.9.4 as it is now updated to gcc-5.4.0 but I don't know how to prove this assumption.

I also don't know if I can re-emerge vdr-2.2.0-r1 with emerge instruct to temporary use gcc-4.9 instead of gcc-5.4 to prove this.

Any hint for this is welcome...

I would test with regular kernel instead of hardened. In any case, you need to get some errors to diagnose the problem.

As far as I know setting log level to LOG="3" in /etc/conf.d/vdr is the highest possible log level for vdr.

Will try to go to VDR Portal with this problem but I thought it is more a Gentoo problem as a VDR problem as vdr-2.2.0 worked fine on this machine. But vdr-2.2.0 was removed from the portage tree.
