Anyone still watching? Aside from the episode 2 travesty, it's been great.

*edit*

Ok, Beach Buggy Boys - Part 2 has nudity.

So, what's that. 1 OK, 2 bad, 3 OK, 4 bad. I don't think I've watched it since. I thought about it earlier today though, I may check out the actual car reviews and fast forward through the crap.

Skimmed episodes 5 & 6.

I found it amusing when the non-Clarkson pair were ragging on the Alfa.

The actual reviews are pretty weak though. There was no meaningful evaluation of the new Miata (and the other two, but they were mainly there for the others to drive). The bit with the scales was lame, as were the laps through the movie set(s).

The Mustang was OK, and I liked the part on the GT40 @ LeMans. Taking the "tour" with the Mustang was awful.

I don't recall much else, so probably skipped those parts.

The first season is the "getting it's groove" season, always is. Just look at season 1 when Clarkson started hosting top gear, it was awful too. If season 2 doesn't shape up, then the third year will be the last.

Could be. I've never seen a whole episode of the other show. I'd prefer stronger car reviews and less shtick when trying to be funny.

I have binge watched a few and my honest appraisal is this: it's only fractionally better than the shitty new Top Gear and the only decent Top Gear on today is the US one.

Is it just me or have they simply just started acting stupid? Before it was a few middle aged men who didn't want to grow up but now they are acting like 9 year olds

Two people talking in the desert about how Hammond doesn't know that parts of it are a film set and Hammond now thinks that the earth was colonised by aliens? Seriously? Before, someone at the BBC would have gone "what are you? 6? Get it out!"

It seems like the dry, ironic, sarcastic wit has gone as well and in its place is a more US family friendly Golden Girls meets Charlie Chaplin cute and slapstick arrangement.

They aimed for the Life of Brian and created Sex in the City 2

Season 2 is delayed because ... https://drivetribe.com/p/Rn7rV46vQFqfo1zkncqtlA

Jeremy Clarkson (PBUH) wrote:
Many of you have been asking if Hammond’s broken knee will affect the filming for season two of the Grand Tour.

And the short answer is: yes.

As I write, James May is sitting in the hell hole that is Gatwick Airport waiting for a budget airline to take him to a shoot that Hammond should have been doing.

REWRITES

Meanwhile, I’ve been up since dawn, rewriting all of the scripts and ideas we had to accommodate the fact that Hammond can’t drive for the next few months.

Meanwhile, he is lying in a bed in the Swiss Alps, while pretty nurses attend to give his every need, and give him drugs.

STANDING ON ONE LEG

Apparently, he will be back in the office next week which is a good thing because we are out of toner for the photocopier, the girl who makes coffee is on holiday and the store room needs re-organising. These, I feel, are jobs he can do on one leg.

I wasn't expecting season 2. Amazon must have too much money sunk into the show to bail on it so soon.

Please..

The biggest and very hit show for Amazon, in-fact it has helped Amazon launch Prime in hundreds of new countries and is a major thing now in the UK.

Good for them. Seemed like complete garbage to me.

To be fair, most shows don't hit their stride until seasons 2 or 3, no exceptions.

Yes, but these guys have chemistry from working together on Top Gear. I found a few episodes on the first season I didn't quite care for but most of them were entertaining...

I've already thanked him for his valuable insight. You did not have to respond.

You're talking to someone who liked season 1, a few episodes were garbage, but most were entertaining. I'm just saying, if they get better from here, then I can't wait.
