Right after booting all video actions (browsing, opening new window etc) running very fast.
However after a while all the same actions became slower. Browser (FF) does not run fluently, not smoothly, with some lags.
Please advise how figure out the reason of this changing? Where can start debugging?
I have radeon video card (HDF5850), Dual cores Intel, 8G RAM

Running out of memory?
GPU got confused (usually something shows up in dmesg)?
Does fix itself if you logout and log back in with a GUI restart?

Have the same problem. FF 45.8.0 and 52.1.0-r1.
Memory and CPU use grow. CPU 100% use on Linux. 14% on Win7.
Nvidia 610 card. Quad core AMD Penom 3000Mhz. 8 GB RAM. |

run 'top' and see what's using cpu cycles. hit 'M' to sort by memory usage or 'P' to sort by processor usage. Is anything using all resources?
How much swap are people configuring with their machines?
Does the machine go back to normal if the topmost process is quit?

ok - But it is the same situation as after booting - same open windows, applications etc.
So why after a while it became slower? Maybe is it due to keeping in memory previous pages? If yes - how can cancel it?

I am not sure, I want to check it more times, but if the answer is yes - what does it mean?

I switched recently from seamonkey to FF, so can not tell about previous ver of FF.
If your CPU usage is common, it is quite disturbing issue! Here is mine line form TOP:

For the last 2 days video card running smoothly without lags.
Something has changed and I do not know what is it. May be video card getting a little scaring from Gentoo's team...
I see in TOP that CPU resources for FF decreased dramatically to 20%, and memory is likely the same as before.
Hope it will last for long time, but if not, need to check again, or... Re-threaten to involve Gentoo's team 
BTW: regarding below issue - No - When it worked slowly, after logout and back, does not fix.
