I just had to wait ages before reporting spam and by the end it didn't feel worth it. Can there be zero time limit if reporting spam?

Probably not, it would let spambots spam the report thread.
There is spam in the report thread from time to time too.

One positive aspect in that case is that it is effectively self reporting.
Still, totally dropping flood control for reports seems a bit too risky for my tastes. One possible set up could be a separate flood control rate for the reports topic if that is considered sufficiently desirable; not so much distinct "time since latest report" control as a shorter "time since latest post" control specific to reports. |
