Because of the following bug, I try to add a certificate but it does not work.

https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=35264

so I downloaded the following file:

https://www.digicert.com/CACerts/DigiCertHighAssuranceCA-3.crt and copied it to /usr/local/ca-certificates but when issuing:

update-ca-certificates

I get:

Code:
Updating certificates in /etc/ssl/certs...
WARNING: DigiCertHighAssuranceCA-3.pem does not contain a certificate or CRL: skipping
159 added, 0 removed; done.
Running hooks in /etc/ca-certificates/update.d...
done.

Please help :)

Hi Elleni,

the posted URL contains an intermediate certificate in DER encoded format.

I am not sure whether the update script only supports PEM encoded certificates or should work with DER encoded ones as well.

However you can try to convert the downloaded certificate and retry.
See https://support.globalsign.com/customer/portal/articles/1353601-converting-certificates---openssl for how to convert DER to PEM.

Best Regards,
Holger

Thank you for your information. I tried and converted der to pem format but I still cannot import it. I am not sure if this would be the correct solution anyway for this League of legends problem.
