I didn't try because they ask for your credit card before you even try the demo. |

EverQuest does the same thing... Its to ensure a painless process between transfering from the "one week demo" to the paid game service. Its basicly really easy to cancel the account before the demo expires but they are pretty touchy so you would have to cancel the day before it expires sometime.
So far I have only seen exclusive Windows versions, never seen an exclusive *nix version. I've heard of the game being played through wine though, so I know its possible to play it on *nix.
Pretty much anything you can think of, with a bit of work, wine can run |

I know I'm a touch off topic here, but I think this is semi-related, so I'll ask now ...
Does anyone know if WineX can handle EverQuest yet? This is my one last tie to windows that I just cannot seem to break.
I bought AO when it was launched but I haven't had an account for a while, and never tried it in linux. This was before WineX came about ... |

go to www.winehq.com and click on community.
There are several pages there which tell you how well things run under wine/winex. Even an app database. |
