Don't know how many people are bothered by this warning in dmesg, which typically are kernel errors versus userland errors. They appear when you logout or close a consolekit session.
However I found this gem:
https://www.bountysource.com/issues/33234185-ck-remove-directory-remove-dest-dir-as-real-user
And the bugs.gentoo.org log:
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=601878
This is not actually a kernel error but a userland error that triggers a dmesg entry. As this is a consolekit issue, this should only affect non-systemd users who run a full DE. I was wondering why I kept on getting these strange errors but it looks like they should be benign. As CK is somewhat deprecated I'm not sure when this fix will hit "upstream" and hence get into portage... _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

Thank you for posting this information here. I recently encountered this error in dmesg and was worried it could be something important going wrong. _________________ People don't have to earn my respect. I offer my respect to them, but be careful to lose my respect... |
