I noticed few bugs in the past refering to IBM Java SDK, but when I try to query it, i get:
Code:
ares ~ # equery meta dev-java/ibm-jdk-bin
!!! No packages matching 'dev-java/ibm-jdk-bin'

So it is gone, could someone tell me why and if possible to get it in again? I am working on GPU accelerated project and IBM SDK supports natively GPU accelerated parallel streams API.

Thanks for any info here.

Ladislav

Thanks a lot charles17 for search the history, next time I can search on my own :-)

I raised a bug, so lets see if Java team will be interested to include this, otherwise I will fail to write the ebuild on my own.

They are probably not going to re-introduce a fetch-restricted SDK that they have just removed.

However, one way to get the package back into portage would be for you to proxy maintain it: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:Proxy_Maintainers

Thanks for good tip! :) Well, they stated that even they might be interested, problem is in the moment with java team being deadly busy with other stuff...

archenroot,

You can still get the ebuild out of git/cvs and use it from your overlay.

Yes, I am going that way, but that ebuild is for version 6 back in GIT, I am interested in latest SDK 8, but I am trying updating it for this latest version.
