 Dann nutze es...... hiermit zur Nutzung der Gentoo Entwickler Community übereignet
Wird Zeit das wir mal klarstellen wer das beste System hat, ich bau schon auf einem Image mal sehn was dabei raus kommt, geht dann zur Bewertung intern an uns Gentoo Leute, GPL NON-Profit Denken

Hi,
Unfortunately, I do not know German, so I used Google Translate to read this thread. Is it possible to install Gentoo on Orange Pi PC Plus (not exactly the same as Orange Pi Plus)? Does everything work (like Wi-Fi and video griver)? |

Sorry, its a German CMS and Portal... usually Germans are kinda ignorant when it becomes to our "global coder language english"
YES !
Its not alot whats different from Pi to Orange Pi, but this few st it. Better CPU, better GPU, Wifi, IR, SATA and more what makes alot more fun to use Orange Pi
EVERTHING works perfect with Gentoo on Orange Pi Plus 2
You Know there is allready a genberry minimal net-install image of Gentoo blown out ?
If you cant find it, i will Mirror it on my CMS Portal and offer for Gentoo this image over my Host, ask me if you cant find and i ll do
Fast like the Hell.... low budget, all works like u know on a usual Desktop, try out.. if you hve Questions, feel free to ask, use this thread here so i will type and answer you in english.

Hi,
makes sence to order one ore more hu?
I still tryed to imagine the Chinese Hardware Developers , to add just a few "options" more, to maybe Orange Pi Plus 3... to make it a smoothy Product
I guess Computing like this is the Future !
Yes, this is the Image, when you download it, you need to install the browser Addon... and it take time to get it down.
Setting up Gentoo than is the normal way, but you should define the ARCH in CPU_Flags....got?
And... never forget, Gentoo is not a normal Distribution.... it is a Developer NON-PROFIT System ! Just for private use on own risk.

Let me ask, who has developed the Gentoo_full_cli.img ???
When trying to get it working on a Orange Pi Plus 2 nothing happens, no Boot, no Network, just nothing.
Is there still something new out, maybe in Layman?
Hoping Gentoo will release a working and bootable minimal-net-image for Orange Pi Plus 2

Last days i tried Armbian for Orange Pi plus 2...... well... what to say......
Better Gentoo.... the missing in the Armbian Release is the Kernel Source, so no chance to optimize the Arm-Deb...
I kicked Armbian for this reason ! No chance to get the XORG and lots of other optimized as needed
