i am stuck running metasploit in kali linux virtualbox in bridge mode, when using nmap scan on my local network:
Code:
db_nmap -v -A 192.168.11.0/24

metasploit will find 4 host up, including 1x gentoo box(192.168.11.11) 1x kali virtual box(192.168.11.13) 2x router(192.168.11.12 + 192.168.11.1)

after showing hosts in metasploit will only find the 2x router and NOT the 1x gentoo 1x kali
is there a possibility the ISP or a firewall is blocking or what else could be the cause?

**edit**

after some investigation i discovered that metasploit + armitage only shows the hosts that have open ports.
when doing nmap scan on both the gentoo box + kali virtual box i noticed that nmap reports that all 1000 ports are closed, even when the firewall is turned off
i am not 100% sure but i suspect the router/modem from my ISP is blocking nmap scans therefor metasploit will report that no ports are open (even if firewall is turned off) and will not show the two hosts.

if someone with networking knowledge can tell me a bit more why i can not find my two linux hosts on metasploit feel free to comment
