I'm trying to setup a vmware install of gentoo but I can't find CONFIG_VMWARE_BALLOON in the kernel menu config. When emerging open-vm-tools it complains that I don't have this kernel option enabled. Any ideas?
Thanks. |

Yes, however it doesn't appear on menuconfig. I'm using gentoo-sources x86 amd64 3.10.7 kernel. |

You need set too:
Code: | Processor type and features --->
Linux guest support ---> |
then the option will be visible. |

Why not use vbox. I used to use vmware, but steped over because of stability.
