I am trying to install logitech exterme 3d pro joystick and followed this topic: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1007898.html
Looks that every thing is ok, as you may see in following outputs, but joystick is not active at all during Steam games,
Flightgear or GoogleEarth Flight simulator. It is working in the Steam menu - I can navigate through menus - but not in the games.
Here some outputs - dmesg:
Code:
[ 7601.204095] usb 5-2: USB disconnect, device number 2
[ 7604.563045] usb 5-2: new low-speed USB device number 3 using uhci_hcd

lsinput -v:

lsusb:
Code:

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 046d:c03e Logitech, Inc. Premium Optical Wheel Mouse (M-BT58)

In /etc/udev/rules.d/ I have made this file 99-input-joystick.rules (idProduct and idVendor I took from lsusb):
Code:
KERNEL=="event*", ATTRS{idProduct}=="c03e", ATTRS{idVendor}=="046d", MODE="0666"

Also app-misc/evtest testing works ok.

Probably missed some kernel setup and now see that joystick is active in some Steam games -
maybe need some settings for others?? Flightgear also ok with joystick.
However google earth does not recognize joystick...
