I have this partition scheme:
Code: |
/dev/sda3 21G 20G 0 100% /
tmpfs 200M 1.4M 199M 1% /run
dev 10M 0 10M 0% /dev
shm 997M 0 997M 0% /dev/shm
cgroup_root 10M 0 10M 0% /sys/fs/cgroup
/dev/sda4 126G 35G 85G 29% /home
none 997M 0 997M 0% /run/user/1000
|
I don't remember what I was thinking when I did this, but this is on a computer I would rather avoid backing up and reformatting, because it's not mine.
So, is there a good way to mv /usr to /dev/sda4 and install grub on sda4? This would solve both the repeated out of space issues and allow me to genkernel new kernels, which don't fit on sda3 any more. _________________ decibel Linux: https://decibellinux.org

What exactly is using up the space on sda3? If it is portage then it is easy to put elsewhere by setting $PORTDIR and $DISTDIR, and $PORTAGE_TMPDIR. |
