Running ~x86

Tried to update world and ran into problems with bluez and networkmanager-1.4.2. Put -bluetooth in USE flags as I don't need it. Tried masking latest networkmanager and now can't install older or newer. Tried masking readline and bash as those were causing conflicts.

Tried masking networkmanager-1.4.2 and below is fail, but same with 1.4.2 version.

Here's errors (same with bluez):
Code:

>>> Emerging (1 of 1) net-misc/networkmanager-1.4.0-r1::gentoo
 * NetworkManager-1.4.0.tar.xz SHA256 SHA512 WHIRLPOOL size ;-) ...                                                          [ ok ]

And here is emerge -avuND @world:

[edit]
I commented out the group plugdev in the group file and networkmanager is installing now.
PS: seems to be working now so I think it was a bug. The two packages (networkmanager and bluez) couldn't figure out the group file since plugdev was already in it. By removing the group plugdev from /etc/group, they were able to create the group again and be happy.

Portage helper enewgroup tests whether the group exists. If it decides the group does not exist, it will attempt to add the group and die if that attempt fails. In your case, it failed to detect the group, then failed to create the group because the group existed. I would consider it a bug that it failed to detect the existing group. If it had detected that the group existed, it would not have attempted to create the group.
