Does anyone have PHP working on gentoo/ultrasparc ?
It is masked, and it will not compile on my Ultra 2.
I need to get it going somehow, hopefully without switching
architechtures....

Please fill a bug at bugs.gentoo.org including the exact version, the compile error you get and the output of 'emerge info' -- thanks! :)

Gonna post to bugs. Just didn't want the poster to feel alone on this.

Yea, I guess I'm a bit off on that then. I thought it was related because of this:

Quote:

oscar root # emerge -p php

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild N ] x11-libs/qt-3.2.3-r1
[ebuild N ] app-crypt/mhash-0.8.18-r1
[ebuild N ] media-libs/t1lib-5.0.0-r2
[ebuild N ] dev-perl/XML-Parser-2.34
[ebuild N ] app-text/sablotron-1.0
[ebuild N ] media-libs/pdflib-4.0.3-r1
[ebuild N ] media-libs/freetype-1.3.1-r3
[ebuild N ] net-libs/libwww-5.4.0-r2
[ebuild N ] dev-php/php-4.3.4-r2

But since it keeps failing on QT, I can't install PHP. Is this just a cow of a different color then?

Yea, I got it working also. I don't know why. I sorta gave up on php and emerged perl instead, then later went back and emerged php and it installed and worked without a hitch.
