is there an easy way to disable the mousepad temporary while typing? my laptop doesn't have a button for this.
my XF86Config looks like this:
Code: |
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
EndSection
|
thx!

It is an iBook2, G3 500MHz. I thought all Mouse(pads) use a generic driver. My modell is not listed in the compatibility list.
I found the "trackpad" command (it's part of the powerpc tools). With this program I can diable tipping and the selection, but not the whole trackpad. |

whilst goggling I found this
http://kerneltrap.org/node/view/645/3067
DO you need help trying to get that installed?
it's for the 2.4 series, and I'm not sure if it's in the actual code. you could make a shell script that changes whatever setting in /proc when you wanted to disable your mouse, then toggle it back on with like a keystroke. tell me what you think

EDIT: http://kerneltrap.org/sup/645/trackpad-2.patch
here's a patch. sorry that can't test it. _________________ see gentoo differently... --> [[gui tools for gentoo linux]]<-- |
