|
|
Hi
I were using KDE for a while and now decided to install XFCE. So I made a backup, deleted all KDE applications, changed profile and USE flags. After installing XFCE I noticed that native themes looks ugly with some of apps (see screenshots http://imgur.com/a/7adBd I use pavucontrol as exaple). As you see, themes on gtk-engines-murrine work fine. By default gtk-engines-xfce-3.2.0-r200 was pulled into system. So I was trying to install gtk-engines-xfce-3.2.0-r300 by hand but that has no effect for me. I dont know if xfce actually using that version of engine.
My /etc/portage/make.conf:
Code: | CFLAGS="-march=ivybridge -mmmx -mno-3dnow -msse -msse2 -msse3 -mssse3 -mno-sse4a -mcx16 -msahf -mno-movbe -maes -mno-sha -mpclmul -mpopcnt -mno-abm -mno-lwp -mno-fma -mno-fma4 -mno-xop -mno-bmi -mno-bmi2 -mno-tbm -mavx -mno-avx2 -msse4.2 -msse4.1 -mno-lzcnt -mno-rtm -mno-hle -mrdrnd -mf16c -mfsgsbase -mno-rdseed -mno-prfchw -mno-adx -mfxsr -mxsave -mxsaveopt -mno-avx512f -mno-avx512er -mno-avx512cd -mno-avx512pf -mno-prefetchwt1 --param l1-cache-size=32 --param l1-cache-line-size=64 --param l2-cache-size=3072 -mtune=ivybridge -fstack-protector-strong -O2 -pipe"

Try to remove (or move if you want to keep a backup) this files/directory ~/.gtkrc-2.0 and ~/.config/gtk* _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |

I moved ~/.gtkrc-2.0 ~/.config/gtk* and ~/.kde* files into backup directory, but that doesn't change anything. Maybe there other places for old configs that I missed? |

Looks exactly the same from a new user. I guessing that problem can be with gtk-engines-xfce, but can't find info about it. |

Try to install also =x11-themes/gtk-engines-xfce-r300 this is for gtk+-3.x (r200 for gtk+-2.x). _________________ Questions are guaranteed in life; Answers aren't. |
