HP ze4145 with Kernel 2.6.0 wireless Orinoco Gold

Has anyone had any luck getting wireless to work on their HP ze4xxx series model laptop? I've been having a hell of a time trying to get it to work. Here is my kernel config:

Bus options (PCI, PCMCIA, EISA, MCA, ISA):
- [*] Support for hot-pluggable devices
PCMCIA/CardBus support --->
<*> PCMCIA/CardBus
<*> CardBus yenta-compatible bridge support
< > i82092 compatible bridge support
<*> i82365 compatible bridge support
< > Databook TCIC host bridge support

[*] Wireless LAN drivers (non-hamradio) & Wireless Extensions

Now I know that PCMCIA-CS just installs drivers into the 2.6.0 kernel. You need to enable cardbus. Cardbus is recognizing:

root@jb-laptop linux # lspci
00:00.0 Host bridge: ATI Technologies Inc AGP Bridge [IGP 320M] (rev 13)
00:01.0 PCI bridge: ATI Technologies Inc PCI Bridge [IGP 320M] (rev 01)
00:02.0 USB Controller: ALi Corporation USB 1.1 Controller (rev 03)
00:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: ALi Corporation M5451 PCI AC-Link Controller Audio Device (rev 02)
00:07.0 ISA bridge: ALi Corporation M1533 PCI to ISA Bridge [Aladdin IV]
00:08.0 Modem: ALi Corporation Intel 537 [M5457 AC-Link Modem]
00:0a.0 CardBus bridge: O2 Micro, Inc. OZ6912 Cardbus Controller
00:10.0 IDE interface: ALi Corporation M5229 IDE (rev c4)
00:11.0 Bridge: ALi Corporation M7101 PMU
00:12.0 Ethernet controller: National Semiconductor Corporation DP83815 (MacPhyter) Ethernet Controller
01:05.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility U1

When I enabled the Hemes Chipset for my orinoco gold, it froze my computer when PCMCIA started. Should I not install PCMCIA-CS?

I compiled the latest orinico drivers v14a2 into the kernel, but it froze my machine as well. Is it something I am missing in my Kernel that would make everything work perfectly? Or is this laptop's chipset just a bugger to work with? Thanks and appreciate the help

And I also have ISA compiled into the kernel:

[*] ISA support
[*] EISA support
[*] Vesa Local Bus priming
[*] Generic PCI/EISA bridge
[*] EISA virtual root device
[*] EISA device name database
[*] Support for hot-pluggable devices

I removed all traces of wireless network config and PCMCIA config from my 2.6.0 kernel as I was having problems with my system freezing as well ending with

Code: Select all

Kernel panic: Unable to continue
I recompiled with only Bus options (PCI, PCMCIA, EISA, MCA, ISA) -> PCMCIA/CardBus support enabled and rebooted. Everything went smoothly.
I then recopiled adding Bus Options -> PCMCIA/CardBus support -> CardBus yenta-compatible bridge support and got the error again.
btw, I'm using a Linksys Wireless WPC11 v3 802.11b network card
