Hello,
cat /proc/cpuinfo shows processors 0-5 but I have an AMD FX - 8350 8 core .
How do I know they are all working? Or have I got a problem?
Regards

Can you show the full output of /proc/cpuinfo?
Also `zgrep CONFIG_NR_CPU /proc/config.gz` if that is set to anything below 8 you might want to increase accordingly |

Raoul,
Code: | $ dmesg | grep setup_percpu
[ 0.000000] setup_percpu: NR_CPUS:6 nr_cpumask_bits:6 nr_cpu_ids:6 nr_node_ids:1 | may be interesting if you don't have /proc/config.gz _________________ Regards,

Maybe you borrowed the .config from someone who has 6 cores ... |

Indeed Buffoon. You are on the money.
I thought of that as I pondered the issue more.
Thank you. _________________ **************
