I have a few removable disks defined with LABEL=labelname in /etc/fstab which works great except that I see an error scroll by on startup for any of those discs that aren't connected. Can I prevent that? |

If you don't want mount them at boot: noauto
If you want to try mount them at boot but don't report error when they aren't present: nofail
noauto and nofail are set as parameters to the mount, that's the 4rd position in fstab |

I actually had noauto in there (syntax highlighted) but I just added nofail (not syntax highlighted) in addition to noauto and now there are no errors. Thank you. |
