Wife is using Thunderbird. I was looking at her Inbox today, lots of clutter. So I wanted to set up a filter to delete emails from certain senders after 30 days - and I couldn't! Is it me or them? |

I have not set up such a filter in Thunderbird, but the way I would try to do it is shown below. Is that what you did?
1. Select 'Tools' > 'Message Filters'.
2. Select 'New...'.
3. For 'Filter name:' enter a name such as 'Delete_John_after_30days'.
4. Tick 'Manually Run' and 'Getting New Mail' so that the rule will run every time Thunderbird retrieves messages, and also when you decide to run the rule manually.
5. Select 'Match all of the following'.
6. Select 'From' and 'is' then enter John's e-mail address.
7. Click '+'.
8. Select 'Age in days' and 'is greater than' and enter the number of days, e.g. 30.
9. Under 'Perform these actions:' select 'Delete Message'. _________________ Clevo W230SS: amd64, VIDEO_CARDS="intel modesetting nvidia".
